New Earth Spirituality Part VI - Is a Golden Age Even Possible?

Whether you are spiritual or not, most of humankind knows that we are going through unprecedented and perilous times on our planet. Even developed countries that were once politically and economically stable are experiencing chaos and strife. The revolutions of the Middle East have been bloody, gory, and hopefully Libya and other countries will be divinely guided in establishing their democracies.

The Great Shift or Turning has challenged us in unparalleled ways. When will the hardship and upheaval end? Some are weary saying “enough already, with 2012! Reality is changing so quickly. We don’t know what it is morphing into so it’s like falling down the rabbit hole. When will it get easier for the planet?

A Golden Shift

The Esoterics have always talked about a Golden Age coming when the Earth would experience a 1,000 years of peace. Some have thought this would coincide with 2012. Not unless you are spiritually naive or only if a big miracle happens, this is a very remote possibility.

Let’s shift our consciousness to another perspective. This is what the Great Shift is all about – evolution, new paradigm thinking and living at a higher level of consciousness. While a Golden Age may be aeons away for our planet it can actually happen within you if you are not attached to the chaos of the world.

The Golden Age will happen in small pockets in communities of those who are seeking to be enlightened. It started with the advent of the New Age. Leaders of this movement, in answering their calling, are being of service to steward the planet through massive transformation. However, first, change has to happen within us, before it can reach a critical mass to impact the planet.

Jill Scott has wonderful song called “Golden” with the chorus being “Living my life like it’s golden.” How can we do this for ourselves? The Golden Age is actually within us and is our birthright. It remains dormant until we know that we are divine and that God is within. It requires much soul work and needs to be earned since gold is a very precious commodity. Let’s look at some of the essential tenets to live a golden life.

Soul Guided

When we live our lives by being soul guided in contrast to ego driven we inherit the gifts of the Sacred Human. This happens through the process of alchemy whereby our leaden consciousness is changed to gold. Gradually, our negative egoic selves are burned off and transformed. The ego is not annihilated but becomes the soul’s willing servant.

The Beloved

Meeting our Beloved is crucial. Your Beloved in not another person outside of yourself but really a deep connection to your Source and beingness. When we come to know, love and accept all of our parts and balance our inner male and female, we meet the Beloved within.

Mystical Heart

The next progression is to open the Mystical Heart which resides in the upper heart chakra or thymus. We experience universal love for all of humankind, the Earth and all her species and acknowledge that God is in everyone and everything. It is based in the Christ consciousness of unconditional love, compassion nonjudgment and forgiveness.

Alignment to Source

A natural stream of well-being flows through us when we are one with our Source. When we have a strong connection to our essence we feel centred, expanded and are living in the present moment. We feel harmony within and with those around us. Our minds are still and quiet of incessant chatter. We have that “All is well feeling.”

Spiritual Guidance

It is our spiritual birthright to have direct contact with God or the Divine, anywhere at any time. We make the connection through our Higher Self. God and spiritual beings such as angels, spirit guides and ascended masters are always ready to listen. Those who do connect with spiritual beings from higher realms often have a more consistent divine connection.

The Art of Co-creation

We know how to co-create what we need in our lives. The difference between co-creation and manifesting is that we partner the Divine to create what our soul, not our ego, wants in life. We align our soul’s desires and passion with our higher purpose. We tap into the divine force of the universe to facilitate manifestation. Synchronicity helps us to create little miracles.

Co-creation is mutual, reciprocal sacred contract with the Divine. It is part of being of service to humankind – as we serve the universe, the universe will serve us. When we ask for abundance in our life, we ask for abundance for all and the world.

Higher Octave Emotions

We have a choice, most of the time, about our feelings. We make the choice to reside in higher, vibrational emotions such as love, joy, optimism and hope. We choose these states over fear and doubt which cause us to fall from grace. We adeptly know out to move ourselves out of the denser emotions.

Beingness and Unity

When we are focused in present, we are not thinking and in our beingness. We are connected to Source and are one with ourselves. Our psyche is not fragmented with a multitude of voices going off in our head. Beingness helps us to connect to unity consciousness which honours that we are all one and interconnected. This state exists in a higher dimension (some say the 5th). We are able to transcend duality, feeling peace and harmony.

So we can bring more ‘heaven to earth’ by becoming golden. Aspire to holding this energy for it will exponentially spread when more do so. This will be your contribution in the birthing of a New Earth Spirituality for humanity. This article concludes this series – thank you for reading!
