Course #10 —The Healing Power of Sound

Student Participating in Sounding ExerciseThe latest scientific research on sound indicates that this vibrational art helps to synchronize the hemispheres of the brain, induce relaxing brainwave states, such as alpha, and produce the relaxation response: lower heart beat, blood pressure and deeper breathing. Besides promoting wellness, the experience of sound can be magical, mystical and creative connecting us deeply to our soul and spirit. Sound, indeed, is a spiritual path.

  • Learn how sound affects the mind/body/spirit continuum through the latest research on sound
  • Explore how sound can be part of your spiritual practice.
  • Balance the chakras through the vocal toning of vowel sounds, bija mantras, chanting and Kirtan.
  • Discover the healing sounds of many ancient and easy-to-play instruments such as Tibetan and crystal singing bowls, tingshas, tuning forks, rattles, rainsticks, ocean drums and more.

Experience the wonder of sound through:

  • The use of our primary instrument, the voice
  • Giving and receiving sound in sonic healing circles Tibetan and crystal singing bowls for meditation, journeying and manifestation
  • Tuning forks for balancing the aura
  • User-friendly instruments combined with energy work and the vibrational arts of colour, crystals and aromatherapy
