Aromatherapy Applications - Base Product Development Course
Create and adapt base carriers such as lotions, creams, ointments and water soluble solutions for use with essential oil blends. Since the carriers used are just as important as the essential oils chosen, making your own from “scratch” gives you complete control over your formulas and the flexibility to adapt recipes for treatment of many conditions.
This course can be taken for personal or professional reasons.
In this 24 hour course you will learn to:
- Transform quality plant based ingredients, raw materials, essential oils and other botanicals into effective delivery systems for your essential oils.
- Construct and adapt your own base carriers to accommodate essential oil blends while also addressing many skin and environmental sensitivities which seem to be epidemic in our society.
- Integrate this skill set and knowledge as a valuable part of your holistic practise and/or make your own products at home for you family.
- Explore advanced essential oil blending techniques for custom product development.
- Become an informed consumer with regards to ingredients found in most topical solutions found in common products.

When: Sat. and Sun. Oct 22-23, 2011 and Nov 12-13, 2011 10 am to 4 pm
Fee: $665 +HST for both weekends, $360 +HST for first weekend
A $20 material fee is payable to the instructor upon commencement of the course. (A $150 non-refundable deposit to reserve your space.)
Previous Aromatherapy training not required.
First weekend is mandatory, second is optional.
