Group Facilitation and Effective Presentation Skills to Expand Your Practice

Coaching GroupThrough developing effective group facilitation skills, we can go beyond limiting ourselves to one-on-one work and expand our practice. This weekend course is ideal for psychotherapists, holistic practitioners and coaches who want to work with groups and present workshops and seminars.  In the last part of the class, participants will break into groups to plan a workshop and make a mini-presentation about it.

  • Learn about group theory and structure
  • Understand group dynamics, how they form and how to manage them
  • Using workshops to build your private practice
  • Effective planning, logistics and presentation skills for workshops and seminars.
  • Tips on creating professional presentations, whiteboards, power point, handouts, etc.
  • How to answer questions with clarity
  • Overcoming ‘stage fright’ of speaking to groups
  • The importance of experiential learning – the most powerful type of learning
  • Honing presentation skills through experiential work
  • Tips on branding and marketing yourself.  Logos, slogans and your ‘elevator speech.’

When: Sat. Feb. 9 & Sun. Feb. 10, 2013, 10am to 5pm

Fee:  $460 + HST ($125 non-refundable deposit required)

To register:
Students must be 18 years of age or older and have completed high
school.  Mature students of 21 years of age may also apply.
