Our emotions influence not only our reaction to the people and events around us but also have a strong link to our physical well-being.
The mark of a good holistic healer is their ability to support the client in setting and reaching goals for physical well-being; to discern when clients need a sympathetic ear, emotional release, or psychotherapeutic support to deal with their ailments; and to offer a safe and comfortable environment for clients in which to allow for honest exploration of the emotional connections to ailments.
This 22-hour course covers:
- The art of listening and empathy
- Focusing as a tool to let the body talk.
- Setting appropriate professional boundaries and professional communication tools
- When to refer a client for psychological / psychotherapeutic support
- Dealing with common psychological issues: sexual abuse, physical abuse, shame, anger, depression etc.
- Dealing with and guiding emotional release: anger, grief, fear, etc.
- Tools for setting realistic goals
- Tapping into the power of intention
- Follow-up and motivating your client
